If your lamp sensor light came on indicating that there was a tail light problem and then you suddenly can not use your brake lights than there are some ways to go about fixing this.
You can try switching out the tail light sensor module which is in hatch area drivers side.
You can try to repair your tail light sensor module.
Or
For those that "MUST" bypass it, it is very easy.
Unplug the Light Failure Sensor And give it to someone who might want it and can fix it. Or Throw it away.
The connector that plugged into the LFS (connector L2):
Find the wire that is Green with a white Stripe (it goes to pin 7)
then find the Red wire with a white stripe (it goes to pin 2 which is just below pin 7)
Connect those two wires together = done.
